Sometimes I even shock myself by the boldness of some of my actions. I mean... the things I try to pull off can have some serious consequences but for whatever crazy reason... I still proceed. I forsee a change in myself in the near future. Mark my words. By early May I'll be a new man: I'll have increased discipline, confidence, and determination. I promise. I just have to get over this hump with school and events in mid-April. Be strong... you will prevail.

Yup.. its been ages again since I've blogged. Frankly I just don't have any spare time right now. I mean I can always drop a blurb in now and them but it's just not my style. If I can't entertain or even amuse myself I rather not write.

Anyways, I'm deadlocked in a game of cat and mouse with her... again. I'm really not sure if I wanna play any more. Seriously, she's starting to bore me...

I've just been too damn busy to blog lately. In addition, I'm suffering from some serious writers block. Reading these damn textbooks and technical manuals will do that to you.... I do have some good news: My California Drivers License has finally arrived!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Now I don't have to worry about getting carded for rated R movies and beer. It's going to fee good to not have to carry that damn extension around any more.

So Little Time

I've got so much going on right now that remnants of that cold will not go away. I'm positive its due my overly stressful days and nights. The job is grueling as usual, these classes are wearing me out, new bills keep popping up, etc. I'd kill to be able to buy like 4 more hours each day. On top of that, I still haven't hit the gym this year. If I could just squeeze in like 30min a day I know that'll provide me with some much needed energy. And as much as I come up with excuse after excuse, I still find time to sit around and do nothing. Today I woke up at 8:30 and could've easily woke up and began my day. Instead I picked up the eco workbook (while still lying in bed) and tried to answer a few questions in my head. All that did was put me back to sleep for a couple more hours. Note to self: go do an espresso shot before trying to read that stuff.

Instense Sparing in Cyberspace

Yeah M and I sparred pretty hard today. Mainly stupid shit but I softened her up with a little story of what happened to me on Saturday...

sun: i was on the bus and i saw this little girl that looked exactly like u
sun: when u were around 15-16.. i swear a splitting image
sun: i couldnt stop staring at her
sun: i bet she thought i was a molestor or some chet hehe
sun: she was w/ her bf too and i remember thinking...
sun: if i was half my age i'd walk over there and snatch u away from him

Ok so the story wasn't 100% factual but good enough to plant a seed in her heart.

Another Decadent Weekend

You know you're getting old when you need a day or two to recover after a couple days of partying. The weekend actually started last Tuesday when M, M, and I went to the Elbo Room for a little Mardi Gras celebration. The place had a live band playing down-south music fit for Mardi Gras. Even the male to female ratio was pretty good, except all the chicks were grungy Mission types. All good tho. Biggest problem with the place was the bartender situation: Two humoungous bars and only two bartenders (one per bar) so it took ages to procure a beverage. We were forced to be resourceful and order two drinks each per round. Finally Friday rolls around and we've got some friends from out of town visiting. We start at the Foreign Cinema bar and end up at some horrible 21-25 club called Mezzanine where they play atrocious trance crap. I'm just not into it and the fact that I feel a cold coming on just intensifies my hatred for the place. The patrons are mainly young b-list e users who can't get into or don't know about the real underground drug scene parties. I definitely didn't want to be there.

Saturday, I decided to get some light excercise in to help strengthen my immune system so I walked around Union Square and Chinatown (Golden Flower Pho) and took the bus out to the Haight. I picked up a funky cd by the 5th platoon and tried to buy some new gear. Unfortunately not a damn thing appealed to me. Bank at home I got a couple hours of rest in and began getting ready for the evening. We start out where we always start out when visitors are in town: Ace Wasabi. The sushi was especially scrumptuous and so was the sake. It was on.... I felt pretty damn good, so good that I even picked up the check. Afterwards we ended up in North Beach at the Velvet Lounge. M and S got tore up, K had 3-4, I had my usual 10-11. Alot of doods were trying to pick up on M and all of them were straight up busters except for the last guy... he came in a got the digits quick. My kind of playa. Anyways... we got lit and K and I do not remember how we got home. Luckily we weren't driving.

Sunday, K, M, D, and I went out to Milpitas for my old friend's baby shower. We arrived pretty late due to the fact that K had just gotten off of work. I really don't know what it is but we really don't fit in with that crowd they hang out with. It's like they look at me like I'm the fuckin bad guy or some shit. It's pretty annoying and frustrating. I do know that they loosen up a lot when they get a few drinks in them. To help pass the time, D and I ran a couple games (3 on 3, half court, 1st to 11). The first game I actually scored the first 3-4 buckets for my squad, shaking doods for some easy layups, a nice pick and roll to the basket and a sweet outside jumper. After this point I was pretty much done. I couldn't keep up with them kids. My legs were beat and I was short on breath. I really need to get into the gym again. Next time.

Coke Spilled on Thinkpad

Do not ever spill coke on your keyboard. It is the abolutely worst thing you could spill on any piece of computer equipment. I was just stuffing my face with some Whole foods sandwich and accidentally knocked over a full glass of coke on to my Thinkpad Laptop. I was so shocked that I just froze. I had never been faced with a problem like this before. Holy Shit. I think the first thing I did was turn the laptop upside down to let all the liquid spill out, then I wiped it down. I called my boy M and he instructed me to turn the thing off, disconnect all peripherals, and remove the battery. After that, he told me to wipe it down with some water and blow dry. Sounds like a nice plan. After I did all this everything seemed fine... Keys worked properly. The keyboard wasn't sticky. Fixed... Or so I thought, the next morning we had the same problem. Now i had to take more drastic measures: I removed all the keys, washed them and wiped their contact points. Again, we had the same thing thing... everything looked/worked fine until the next morning. I would be back to square one each morning. What the fuck? I even googled for answers.. still no luck. After several days I just said fuck it and called IBM and tricked them into shipping me a new keyboard (spilling coke on your laptop is not covered under the warranty). We'll see what happens next...

Stay Strong

As far as my self-study goes, last week was extremely unproductive. I really need to do a better job at keeping pace. Time is running out and I'm just getting busier and busier. I must stay strong... only a couple more months. By all means: BE MORE EFFICIENT WITH YOUR TIME.
